Governor of West Java, Ridwan Kamil

October 09, 2020

Free and Safe team with Governor West Java Indonesia Mr. Ridwan Kamil, The heads of departments of Youth and Sport and Social Service.

Indonesia does not have a specific program where juveniles newly released from prison get jobs, finish their education, or receive mental rehabilitation. That’s why on April 7th, 2019 we had the incredible experience of meeting the governor of West Java, Bapak Ridwan Kamil. Governor Kamil asked to meet Free and Safe Foundation staff and hear about our programs and Foundation.

After explaining our goals and how we help many boys after prison, the Governor himself said he feels proud that Jorge and his family have decided to come all the way from Mexico to make a huge impact on Indonesian lives.

We are very honored to be recognized by the Governor, the heads of the departments of Youth and Sport and Social Service, and to work together to help Indonesians who needed it the most.
