Team

1.
Leadership Team
They make sure everything runs smoothly, from planning programs to managing funds and supporting the team.
Each member plays a key role—some focus on big-picture goals, others handle finances, and some build relationships with donors and communities. Together, they bring passion and purpose to create real, lasting change.

Jorge
Our leader extraordinaire, but don’t call him that. To be honest, Jorge is a leader against his will. He would just as glad be a coaching soccer at the villages or prison than in the office; however, he’s the founder and CEO of Free and Safe, as well as responsible of among many other things.
Josephine
Josephine is a member of our finance and admin team who helps us in the office. She loves to collect receipts, take care of reimbursement. She is very humble and always willing to help one another wholeheartedly.
Jefri
Jefri does a great job at both being 100% Indonesian, and 100% a bule. Truth is, we wouldn’t be anywhere without him. Jefri is starting a new branch of FSI in Bali. Since 2022 Jefri has been starting visiting prisons and coaching football in Bali. We will have a Transition Home in FSI Bali, where we will focus on street kids and transitioning boys after freed from prison. Also FSI Bali and Jefri will be working together with local Balinese organizations who will focus on solutions for human trafficking.
Mira
Mira is our finance and legal master. Her default face expression is ‘always smiling’. She is experienced in taking care of legal field. We trust her 100% because no one else understand as much as her. Of course we are very happy to have someone so capable, smart, honest, and a loving person working at Free and Safe.
Silvie
Silvie is a gentle and generous person. Reading novels and spending time with books has given her a passion for literature. Her favorite books are those with heartfelt content. That’s why she has a big heart to help the Women’s program, teaching them how to pour out their hearts and thoughts that are trapped inside them to understand the emotions they feel, balance their mental health and learn to accept themselves and their circumstances.
2.
Operational Department
The backbone of the organization, making sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. From logistics to administration, they keep things organized and efficient.

Josephine
Josephine is a very reliable Finance & Admin who keeps finances and administration running smoothly, ensuring everything is well-organized.
Cathy
Cathy is a cheerful and funny soul, and her journey with FSI began back in 2020 when she participated in our Kids & Teens program. Over time, Cathy started volunteering as a teacher in our kids’ program—her younger sibling even joined too! Now, Cathy has graduated from college and is helping us in the Finance Department alongside Mira & Josephine. It brings us immense joy and pride to witness her growth and progress.
Pak Odi
He & his wife Nur used to do everything in and around our Transition Home. Their heart for our work is amazing, and we love them. Though Nur has chosen to focus more on her family, their kindness and dedication remain an inspiration. As Odi continues to serve, we are always happy to support them and wish them a future filled with happiness and success.
3.
Economic Development & Funding
The financial superheroes who secure funding, build partnerships, and ensure the organization has the resources to keep making a difference.

Besides helping Free and Safe Women, she is also the personal assistant to Anya who is the head of our FSI Women program.
Chariska
Chariska is the new Head of FSI Programs, she ensuring that every initiative runs smoothly. We are truly in awe of her, at such a young age and having just graduated with her Bachelor’s degree, she already has a heart dedicated to working and contributing to social causes. Though she’s recently joined our team, she’s already finding her footing and balance in this new office. We are incredibly grateful to have Chariska with us!
4.
Programs Department
The heart of the mission, designing and running impactful projects that directly help communities and drive change.

Beto
Give Beto a ball and he’s happy. He has an infectious laugh and knows how to be a great coach and also IT manager at the office. Every week that he joins us in prison or helping around the Transition Home he tries to make people smile and feel comfortable. If Beto is not playing football, he’s…we don’t know — we think he is always playing football or joking around with our boys at the Transition Home.
Reza
Some journeys are truly inspiring, and Reza’s is one of them. As an ex-prisoner and one of the boys from our Transition Home Program, Reza has shown incredible determination to rebuild his life since his release.
Reza has already been helping Beto coach both in prison and with our futsal team. In addition to coaching, he’ll also take on office responsibilities as he continues building his future.
Thales
Thales is a Brazilian who moved to Indonesia. He is cheerful and full of laughter. His jokes kept all of us and the kids in the FSI program entertained. He loves doing light activities and organizing small games for all of us. The children loved it so much. She helped a lot with our kids program with Jaclyn, organizing the class schedule and dividing up the tasks for the teachers and volunteers. Phew… dealing with 100 kids is not easy, but we believe as more kids join the program, our team will also grow bigger.
Jaclyn
Jaclyn has so many skills like graphic design, making short movies and photography. However, she decided to be our amazing English teacher. She teaches English from little kids until our oldest boys at college.
One of her biggest qualities of Jaclyn is she is always ready to work hard and serve all the people around her.

5.
Creative Department
The storytellers and visionaries who bring the mission to life through design, media, and communication, inspiring people to support the cause.

Marel
Marel is a very creative and smart person, even before finishing University we offered him to work in FSI. We believe Marel has a great heart to serve and also she will bring her creativity to our social media and creative department. Marel loves being on social media and she can make ordinary photos meaningful and fun. We welcome Marel to FSI and thank her for her willingness to make an impact on the many families FSI helps.
Angel Lie
She has a really big passion and heart. She is still studying architecture at Maranatha University, which is one of our partners. She has a passion for art since she was little and that makes her a good fit in the creative department. Although sometimes she has to work on building sketches or mockups in the office, she balances her busy schedule and is happy to do both. We are very grateful to have such a talented person and look forward to the day when she will design the FSI office and program building one day.
Richard
Richard, a talented member of our Creative Department, has just completed his Bachelor’s degree as well. With exceptional skills in design and videography, his presence enriches our creative team. Beyond his professional talents, Richard has a passion for teaching and loves sharing his knowledge with others. He’s now actively volunteering, teaching children in our kids’ program. We’re so proud of him!
