Cooking Training Class

December 09, 2021

When we saw the potential of women nearby us in cooking skills, we decided to hold a cooking class. Its to train and prepare them to earn more income for their respective families.

Last week we got a new friend and volunteer who is a chef. He is Adji and has been working as a chef for more than nine years in Bali. Adji has extraordinary experience in the culinary world. We hold a one-week cooking class for nine people in a fun and informative class atmosphere.

Chef Adji always starts the cooking class by explaining each ingredient they use, cooking tips, keeping food ingredients fresh and hygienic. After that, he will start cooking and give an example to the participants before they try to cook on their own.

On the last day of class, we discussed basic budgeting to begin a new food business from zero, things to prepare, and other stuff.

The class has held wonderfully. The participants learned a lot of new things. Thank you to Food Lab for providing a kitchen for us to actualize in this class. Also to Chef Adji who assisted us, to help more people. We believe the hopes and efforts that have passed in this class will not be in vain but will be a huge blessing for all of us.
